I agree with this statement as it is very true. If you have no goal, you have nothing to look up to, nothing to try to reach. You don't know where to go, you have no direction just like a boat without a rudder. This doesn't necessarily mean that that person will fail though. Just like a boat, maybe the boat reaches it's end or maybe it reaches somewhere they didn't expect. This can also be like a person without a goal. Once you have no goal you can maybe find yourself with no motivation or find motivation in something you never expected to find in. This is a risk you should not take unless you really don't know what to do with your life. A boat without a rudder isn't necessarily bad, but can be bad if you stay there for a long while. If you never find a goal it can be very bad. You need direction in life and that's what goals are for.
