Being right is always right as you do more right things and if you don't lie that is right. This means that being honest is right and choosing the right is right. I would also prefer this as it, in my opinion, makes you a more respectable human being. It is more respectable to fail with honor than cheating to win. Apart from this, it is not the same sensation that you get from it. Winning with honor feels like you accomplished something and you feel proud of yourself. If you win by cheating, you can't really be proud of yourself for breaking the rules without anyone knowing. It is not anything commendable or anything that you should be proud of. It is not worth cheating and it is better to lose honorably that winning by cheating.

I agree that if you have a goal you should pursue it. You should follow what YOU want to do and everything else will just fall into place. You should do what you want to do. What you like to do and pursue that. Maybe at first things don't seem to bright, but it will happen. Just give yourself Time and everything else will happen. If you do the right thing while pursuing that, good things will come back. Doing the right thing will not only be helping others, but it will also happen to you and you too will receive good things.  This is why it is never bad to do the right thing, Doing the right thing has a lot of positive things that can happen.
